Lecherous Gaze emerged from the smouldering ashes of California's Annihilation Time. A band heavily influenced by Metal, Punk, beer, babes, and bongs. They had a tendency to mix the technical side of Tony Iommi's riffs with the attitude of BL'AST! and Black Flag. But then again, name dropping bands like that does not do them justice. That same attitude hasn't changed much since Lecherous Gaze formed. They've aged nicely like a potent whiskey and your sketchy friends-of-friend's hydroponic weed setup. Their new album Zeta Reticuli Blues is their second LP and is just as good as their 2012 debut LP, On the Skids. The opening track on Zeta Reticuli Blues, "End Rising", is what I pictured the 1960s Hell's Angels to sound like cruising down the highway after dropping LSD and getting in bar fights.  Later on in the middle of the album, the track "Baby Please Don't Go" keeps the blood movin' with the dominent rhythm section laying down the law. But I don't want to give too much away, just go buy the album and check it out. It's well worth it.
